Google planning to shift its PIXEL Production facility out of China
Alphabets INC’s Google recently made a big decision and has already begun the procedure of relocating the production facility of PIXEL smartphones out of China. The new destination of the production facility would be Vietnam.
Which other products will be manufactured outside China?
Along with PIXEL 3A Google has decided to move the production of NEST’s products to VIETNAM too. The nest is Google’s some brands that market smart home products like thermostats, smoke detectors and security systems with smart doorbell and smart door locks. And the relocation is likely to do before the end of 2019.
And the smart speakers from Google are now planned to be manufactured in THAILAND rather than CHINA.
However, the new product development and earlier production of its hardware will be still carried out at CHINA, which suggests the initial production of PIXEL 4 would be done in CHINA.
Why relocation?
The shift out of CHINA is Google’s way of tackling rising labor costs and handling CHINA-US trade tensions. The American Internet Monster is planning to increase the shipment of smartphones up to 10 million this year. And the relocation out of china will reduce costs and increase hardware profitability. Hence the decision is now inevitable. The decisions were made after Donald Trump’s statement which highlighted that an enormous amount of money is gathered by China from the United States in the name of trade and TAX, which should be stopped. And emphasized American Brands to bring back their companies HOME and start making your products within US boundaries.
