Bharat Petroleum Corporation will place advertisements in leading newspapers seeking LPG Gas Distributors for projected distributorships in several states. The application guidelines are offered for individuals who are interested in applying.
Eligible applicants must submit application forms for BPCL LPG distributorship and Bharatgas dealership on plain paper in the usual format. The application format for Distributors has been placed on the Bharatgas official website for the public's convenience.
Please note that this blank application is simply a sample and will only be accepted if filled out in line with the applicable eligibility requirements for the individual location and accompanied by the required application fee in response to particular advertising issued for any location.
Various Types of Distributorship Area
- Sheheri Vitrak: In the guidelines, the term 'Urban Area' will also have the Census 2011 meaning of 'Urban.' Sheheri Vitrak, an LPG distributorship located in the 'Urban Area (U)', will serve LPG consumers located inside the Municipal Limits of the Metro city/town/city.
- Rurban Vitrak: According to the guidelines, the term "Rural-Urban" refers to an LPG distributor who is located in an "Urban Area" and also provides service to LPG customers in a "Rural Area," which is including all villages within 15 kilometers range from the LPG distribution company located and/or the area mentioned by the respective OMCs. The name of the LPG distributors serving such an area is Rurban Vitrak.
- Gramin Vitrak: In the guidelines for the Gramin vitrak, the 'Rural Area' term will have the Census 2011 synonym of 'Rural.' Gramin Vitrak, an LPG distributorship situated in a 'Rural Region,' will serve the LPG clients in the specified location of rural. In general, it will encompass all localities within 15 kilometers of the LPG Distributorship location's border limitations and/or the region indicated by the individual OMCs.
- Durgam Kshetriya Vitrak: LPG distributors would be living or available in Difficult and Special Places like tribal inhabited areas, hilly regions, forests, sparsely populated, and Left Wing Extremism (LWE) impacted areas) where Gramin and Rurban Vitrak are not possible. Durgam Kshetriya Vitrak shall be the name given to such LPG distributors (DKV). They will offer service to LPG clients in DKV zones designated by the OMCs.

Basic Requirements for LPG Distributorships
Storage for the in Cylinders at Godown
LPG Distributor would require a storage facility as below noted,- 8000 kg LPG in cylinders - Sheheri as well as Rurban Vitrak,
- 5000 kg LPG in cylinders - Gramin Vitrak,
- 3000 kg LPG in cylinders - Durgam Kshetriya Vitrak.
The applicant must possess a parcel of land of at least 25 meters by 30 meters (within 15 kilometers of the municipal/town/village borders of the provided area in the same State) (Sheheri and Rurban Vitrak)
21 x 26 meters (within 15 kilometers of the claimed site) (Gramin Vitrak) 15 x 16 meters in the hamlet/clustered village borders as stated in the advertised place (Gramin Vitrak).
Showroom
A Showroom should be with a minimum of 3 m x 4.5 m outside dimensions as per the standard plan is to be constructed in a shop/land located in a popular or known location, i.e. within the municipal/town/village borders of the place stated in the 'location' column of the advertising. If a 'locality' is mentioned also in the 'location' column of the advertisement for an LPG distributorship, a showroom should be of minimum outside dimensions of 3 meters by 4.5 meters must be built in a shop or the land situated in the said 'locality.' A proper approach road should make the showroom easily accessible to the general public.
Criteria for applying for an LPG distributorship
- Be a citizen of India /a resident of India.
- Have completed a recognized Board's minimum10Xth standard examination or equivalent.
- As of the date of the advertising, you must be between the ages of 21 to 60.
- Applicants seeking places designated under the FF category have no age restrictions.
- You should not be a family of an OMC employee when applying.
- Meet all the requirements necessary for multiple dealerships as well as the distributorships.
- Not be a signatory to a distributorship/dealership contract that has been dissolved due to misconduct or counterfeit.
- Possess a minimum-sized parcel of land for the building of an LPG godown as well as of the application deadline, you must have a ready LPG cylinder storage godown.

Process for Application
An applicant may apply for multiple positions. However, he/she will have to file a fresh application for every single location in this situation. The application fee paid should be included with every application.
Only one application per site should be submitted. If anyone applies more than one time, all of the applications will be combined and counted as a single one. The application fees collected for more than one application against other applications will be forfeited in such instances.
People who meet the Sheheri Vitrak qualifying requirements have to fill out an online form of application. Individuals who meet the requirements for all other types of distribution companies can file a request form, which can be downloaded for free through OMC sites.
Applications are invited through advertising in national newspapers:
One announcement with the biggest circulation of newspapers within the state and 2 announcements with the most popular and which covers the biggest area circulation in the district near which the venue is located. The LPG distributor for an advertised place is selected by a random drawing from all of the qualifying applications for the same location.
