Hyundai Elantra Facelift

The Korean car manufacturer, Hyundai is well renowned for giving a neck to neck competition to India’s most successful automobile brand Maruti Suzuki. Recently the brand brought changes to many of its cars like i20, Grand i10, Verna, Creta, and some other models. The changes are made in terms of looks, features, and performance.

Elantra is Hyundai’s executive class sedan which was launched back in August 2018 and Hyundai is going to facelift this latest Elantra and the same will be soon seen on the roads before the end of 2019. The facelifted Elantra has been spotted many times which confirms the near future arrival of those changes to Elantra.

 

What gets altered?

Engine

The new Elantra will have the same engines from the past but the only thing new is the 2.0 L petrol engine gets updated such that it complies with BS6 norms. The 1.6 L Diesel engine doesn’t receive any updates to comply with BS6 norms. The 2.0 L petrol engine will produce power of 152 hp and torque of 192 Nm while the 1.6L diesel engine produces power of 128 hp.

 

Looks

The new Hyundai Elantra will come with unique brand styling which can be seen on its other cars. The new Elantra will get updated with the brand’s signature front cascading grille and uniquely shaped LED DRLs. The bonnet will look more muscular and alloy wheels with the new design will add to the charm. Coming towards the rear end the taillights will be extended to the boot and the rear bumper will accommodate reverse lights.

At the inside, the Hyundai Elantra will be coming with a new 8” touchscreen infotainment system which will support Hyundai Blue Link which comes with 34 features, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Elantra will also have facilities like a reverse camera, multi-zone climate control, ventilated seats, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

 The facelift from inside will bring leather upholstery. The safety aspects will remain the same and the new Elantra will come with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and Vehicle stability control system.

 

Price

The price of the new Elantra will remain the same. The Ex-showroom Price of petrol variants will lie in the range of Rs.13.72 lakh to Rs.18.92 lakh and the price of diesel variants would fall in the range of Rs.15.09 lakh to Rs.20.05 lakh.
