Design of TCL 85P8M
The TCL’s 85 inch TV comes with a metal frame at the front and it gives the TV a premium touch. The TV has negligible bezels and it supports wall-mounting too. The table mounting stand also looks great and feels sturdy as it has to hold a large TV screen. The TCL logo can be seen at the center of the bottom bezel which seems slightly curved.
Specifications and features
The TCL 85P8M is an ultra HD smart TV that comes in the native resolution of 3840 x 2160. The TV has a brightness capacity of 450 nits and can refresh the pixel at 60 Hz. The response time of the pixels is 8 ms which is comparatively faster than other TVs in comprising the same kind of ELED panel.
The TCL 85P8M comes with micro dimming technology which helps in offering better blacks with less distortion around the lightened up pixels ultimately delivering better contrasts. The TV supports HDR 10 decoding which is profound for offering vivid and accurate colors bringing the picture to life by increasing the dynamic range and boosting the contrast.
The TCL 85P8M runs on android 9.0 Pie TV-based OS and processes everything using an MT58CX-AU processor paired with a 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage. As it is an Android TV it can run a variety of applications that can be downloaded from the Google Playstore. The TV comes with the support of Netflix, Hotstar, Amazon Prime and more such online streaming apps.
For better sound, the TV has 4 speakers (2 x 10 W and 2 x 5 W) in all and supports Dolby and DTS sound technologies.
Coming towards the input/ output ports, the TV has 2 USB, 1 LAN, and 3 HDMI ports. It also has a socket for cable antenna and female ports for AV in and headphone out.
