Vivo U20 – improvements over Vivo U10
Vivo has launched a new smartphone under the ‘U’ series with a name tag Vivo U20, which is the latest iteration and the successor of Vivo U10. Looking at the specifications front, the phone brings a triple rear camera setup and a speedy snapdragon 675 chipset. The Vivo U20 in many ways resembles its previous version. The Vivo U20 maintaining its category as a mid-range smartphone will cost similar like Vivo U10.

Vivo U20 brings alluring specifications at such a low price point. The Vivo U20 packs a Snapdragon 675 SoC which is cited to be 25% faster than the Snapdragon 665. The Vivo U20 runs on an octa-core processor paired with either 4GB RAM or 6 GB RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. Just like Vivo U10 the internal storage of the Vivo U20 is expandable by 256 GB using a micro SD card which can be placed in a dedicated card slot.
Vivo U20 comes with a better camera setup than which was seen in the Vivo U10. The Vivo U20 has a triple rear camera setup which comprises a primary camera sensor of 16 megapixels with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens. The primary camera is accompanied by an 8-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.2 ultrawide angle and a 2-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.4 macro lens. The Vivo U20 can offer video shooting in 4K resolution at 30 fps. The front camera resolution has been doubled than the Vivo U10 on Vivo U20 which is now 16 megapixels with an f/2.0 lens.
Vivo has also augmented the display a bit and has acquired the widevine L1 certification, which means that Vivo U20 will facilitate streaming content from Amazon Prime and Netflix at very high resolutions. The display size of Vivo U20 is 6.53” and is of IPS LCD type. The display resolution is also increased to FHD+ making the pixel density 395 PPI. The display of the Vivo U20 can attain the peak brightness of 480 nits.
The Vivo U20 just like its predecessor comes with a giant 5000 mAh battery which supports fast charging through an 18W fast charger.

Design: Vivo U20
The design of the Vivo U20 is similar to that of its predecessor. The only change that can be observed on minute inspection is the length difference. The Vivo U20 is slightly taller than the Vivo U10 and it comes with a subtle difference in the gradient finish at the back. The Triple cameras at the rear are aligned vertically at the top-left corner. The front camera is housed in the water-drop notch present over the display maintaining the symmetry.
Price and availability: Vivo U20
The price of Vivo U20 starts from Rs.10,990/- which will be logical of the 4GB RAM variant. The price of 6 GB RAM variant is Rs.11,990/- and the hoardings of the Vivo U20 can be seen on Amazon.in disclosing the first sale timing and dates. The first sale of the Vivo U20 will take place on 28th November 2019 on Amazon.in.
