Canon EOS M200
Canon's EOS M200, the successor of M100 of 2017 is unveiled and it comes with some major improvements and additional features over EOS M100. Basically the newly arrived Canon EOS M200 is a mirrorless camera unlike DSLRs and hence is more compact and smaller than DSLRs that use mirrors to capture light.
New features
The latest Canon EOS M200 now comes with Digic 8 image processor and the number of autofocus points is set to 123 than just 49. The new mirrorless camera has got eye detection autofocus which helps in retaining focus at people and it has got video recording capability at 4K/24p. These added features bring the Canon EOS M200 near to Canon M50.
The size and looks of the new camera are similar to that of the old one and have got the same APS-C sensor of 24.1 megapixels. The Canon EOS M200 comes with a display that supports flipping up to 180 degrees and the camera has also got a built-in flash. The Canon EOS M200 will work with all Canon’s EF and EF-S lenses.
Dedicated To
The new Canon EOS M200 is dedicated to smartphone users who shoot pictures and videos on smartphones and are not much well versed in using high-end cameras. The camera can boost up the photography skills of a tyro because of its user-friendly interface and assistant tool which describes the purpose of each and every mode and feature and where they can be used. The Canon EOS M200 will have wireless connectivity to share photos with smartphones and computers for the speedy posting of images on social media.
The Flaw
The new Canon EOS M200 records 4k videos at 1.6 X cropping and hence the user will not get proper framing using 15-45mm f/4.5-6.3 EF – M lens with is present inside the camera as the main lens.
Price and release
The Canon EOS M200 will be released in India in the month of October and will come in two colour variants that are in white and black. The price of Canon EOS M200 would be around Rs.50,000/- in India.
