Hero revived its not so old Bike - Hero Impulse - in the form of Hero XPluse 200 and XPulse 200T, of which the later one comes with retro looks and styling features. The Hero XPluse 200T will is suitable for city ridings more than the off-roading unlike its sibling XPluse 200. The XPulse 200 comes with great subjective aesthetics and in vivid colors. The bike offers many modern features and astounding power. The brand claims that the bike is made for all kinds of roads and is made robust along with the installation of modern features with the essence of retro styling.

Design and Looks

The overall design of the Hero XPulse suggests it to be a touring motorcycle but its larger ground clearance, heightened seat along with the powerful 200 CC engine makes it support the rough terrains too. The Bike has a round headlamp at the front beneath the modern digital instrument cluster. The handlebar on the bike is wide and it comes with a ribbed seat for greater comforts. The bike has the conventional exhaust manifolds and the muffler unlike its off-roading sibling.

Specifications

The Hero XPulse 200T has the same engine which can be seen on the Hero Xtreme 200R and its sibling Hero XPulse 200. The engine of the Hero XPulse 200T is 199.6 CC and is an air-cooled, carbureted, single-cylinder engine that delivers maximum power of 18bhp at 8000 rpm and produces a peak torque of 17.1 Nm at 6500 rpm. The ignition system of the engine is the Digital DC CDi. The engine of the bike comes coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox containing a multi-plate wet clutch.

The suspension duties of the bike are handled by Telescopic Fork with anti-friction bush at the front and 7-step Rider adjustable Monoshock at the rear.

For braking, the bike has a 276 mm disc brake at the front and a 220 mm disc brake at the rear. The brakes are assisted by the single-channel ABS. The wheels are of a 17-inch size and are made out of alloy. The kerb weight of the bike is 150 kg.

Comparison

The Hero XPulse 200T faces rivalry from Suzuki Intruder and Bajaj Avenger. But among these, Hero XPulse is far more affordable and hence is a better option than others. In addition, the power difference in Bajaj Avenger is not that significant.

The ex-showroom price of the Hero XPulse 200T is Rs.94,000/- only and the On-road price varies with cities.
